Dreadlock consultation
During your personalised consultation, I will ask a series of questions which will help me to get laser focused on what your desired outcome is. Where your hair is now and where you want your dreads to be.
You’ll get to fire away any questions relating to your dream dreadlocks, which will help you decide if Melbourne Dreadlocks is the right fit for you.
I will discuss all your options whether that’s creating new tailor-made dreadlock extensions or fresh dreadlocks from scratch.
Consultations are done via email and text.
Send me your questions, recent portrait pictures of yourself and dreads inspiration (Insta & Pinterest are the best for that).

My Dreadlock Creation Services
My dreadlock installation is natural and organic, meaning I only use my comb and crochet hook. I don’t use any products, wax (ugh), glue or weird stuff.
Starting dreads can take between 4 to 12h+ depending on the length of your hair, the density (how much hair you have), the size of the desired dreads and if extensions will be added or not.
You have the choice to start dreads with your own hair or with extensions. Extensions are quite popular lately as the result is natural (you can barely see the difference between your hair and the extensions) and they give you extra length instantly.
In terms of extensions, I offer 2 types of extensions according to your budget and preference:
- 100% human hair
- high quality synthetic hair
Both of the extensions are hand made so please allow a few weeks for your order to be completed before your appointment 🙂

Starting Dreadlocks with your own hair
The shortest bits of your hair would need to be at least 15cm (6″) long.

Over the service allocated period of time above, I will charge $70/h extra.

You would need at least 15cm of your own hair in order to start dreadlocks with extensions.

Booking your Dreadlock Creation service
Appointments are booked online.
A deposit is required before booking your appointment and will be deducted from the total amount at the end of your service. This is simply to secure your appointment. My online system is 100% secure.
Here are the 3 simple steps to book your appointment online:
- Select your service
- Select your appointment date & time
- Enter your details & pay your deposit with a credit/debit card. This will be deducted from your appointment at the end of your service
